So, you’ve Googled me and landed here! All good, I’m relatively transparent about most things. Here’s a recent interview:
What I Do
I help startups and small businesses because I believe that successful entrepreneurs give people hope, and that matters today more than ever. I mostly do this through digital marketing, publicity, and building teams and systems to drive brands and to produce incremental and sustainable growth in traffic, conversion, and retention.
With twenty years experience as a full stack digital marketer, I sold my first ecommerce business in 2004. I now lead a publicity, digital marketing and content strategy firm. Clients include micro cap public companies, startups, and online businesses. My approach to digital marketing is unique in that I frame every touchpoint along the customer journey as an opportunity to build rapport in ways that you would only expect with in-person communications. Team-building and storytelling are at the crux of my methodology.
Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and connecting with friends and family whenever feasible. I’m on a weight-loss journey, so I’m very intentional about eating better, sleeping better, and of course, exercising. I also enjoy writing, and hope my book on burnout recovery, “Back After Burnout” will help people everywhere to find joy and purpose in their professional lives.
Mission, Vision & Core Values
Mission: To bring joy to others by helping them find their best selves through business and voluntary collaborations.
Vision: During my lifetime, I will transform my community, country, and world to help individual humans to be freer to discover their best selves in whichever ways bring them the most joy, without harm to others.
Core Values: voluntary relationships, openness (vulnerable communication), and resilient growth
Politically, I’m one type of libertarian within a broad spectrum of libertarian philosophy.

I believe that successful small businesses, start-ups, and entrepreneurs give people hope for a brighter future. With this in mind, I am very intentional about working with companies that fit into these categories, as well as health and wellness businesses, B2B services for small businesses, and other companies that bring hope and joy to people’s lives.
I have made appearances on, and have been quoted and published in numerous publications including Inc Magazine, Entrepreneur, Nasdaq, American Marketing Association, Search Engine Journal, CBC, USA Today, and many others, including dozens of local radio and TV stations (NBC, CBS, Fox, WTOP, WROC, etc). I also maintain columns at Entrepreneur and Medium.
Usually what happens is clients hire me for digital marketing services. Then they discover that I’m very systems-oriented, and they ask me to create new systems for other areas of their businesses.
Although my focus is on start-ups and entrepreneurs, I do have larger projects that keep me sharp. For example, I’m working under NDA on a content partnership with a Big 5 tech company. I can’t disclose what we’re doing, but it’s huge and impactful.
